Innovation connects: German-Chinese partnerships for the hospital of the future
DCG-Health GmbH, together with Gesellschaft Deutscher Krankenhaustag mbH and the Deutsch-Chinesische Wirtschaftsvereinigung e. V. (DCW), is organising the 3rd International German-Chinese Hospital Day on 19 November 2026 as part of the 49th German Hospital Day at MEDICA Düsseldorf.
The Hospital Day brings together hospitals, academia, companies, associations and other stakeholders from Germany and China. The focus is on concrete opportunities for cooperation and joint projects in the fields of hospital management, digitalisation and AI, nursing and training, medical technology, clinical research, and Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative care.
The event is accompanied by an intensive German-Chinese exchange with partners from hospitals, research and the healthcare industry. Existing collaborations will be deepened, and new clinical, research and innovation projects will be prepared.
With the German-Chinese Health Innovation Hub, DCG-Health is also developing a permanent platform intended to take the exchange beyond individual events and to bring partners together to develop concrete joint projects.
The German-Chinese event week concludes on 20 November with the 6th German-Chinese Conference on Traditional Chinese Medicine in Essen.

About us
Hospital Day
The International German-Chinese Hospital Day brings together hospitals, associations, academia, nursing and the healthcare industry from Germany and China. It takes place annually as part of the German Hospital Day at MEDICA in Düsseldorf.
The focus is on current challenges and future issues in hospital care – from digitalisation and artificial intelligence through hospital management, medical technology and nursing to prevention and integrative medicine. At the same time, the Hospital Day provides space for presenting concrete German-Chinese cooperation projects and for direct exchange between potential partners.
The annual Hospital Day is intended to evolve step by step into the German-Chinese Health Innovation Hub: a permanent platform for German-Chinese hospital partnerships, research and innovation projects, delegation visits and networking between hospitals, universities, associations and companies.
